Parmarの方法

 今日は私が、「Impact of EGFR Inhibitor in Non–Small Cell Lung Cancer
on Progression-Free and Overall Survival: A Meta-Analysis. JNCI (2013) 105:
595-605」を抄読しました。5年生もよくがんばってついてきてくれました。あまり目新しいことはなかったのですが、If hazard ratios and confidence intervals
were not reported, these were estimated where possible using the methods of
Parmar. とありました。Parmarといえば、Hotta K & Matsuo Kのコンビで2004年にJ Clin Oncolに2本出したときの引用文献で、survival curveをみてhazard ratioを読み取るというものです。Parmarの方法はいろんなところ使われているのですね。
